1. Number and Weight:
A maximum of two animals may be transported in one container if they are accustomed to living together and each weighs no more than 14 kg. Transporting different types of animals in the same container is not allowed. Heavier animals must be transported in separate containers.
2. Container Requirements:
- The container must be sturdy, have a leak-proof bottom, and include ventilation and feeding openings.
- It should be spacious enough for the animal to stand, lie down, and turn around comfortably.
3. Container Dimensions:
For Airbus and Boeing aircraft, the maximum container size allowed in the cargo hold is 122 x 81 x 88 cm.
4. Heavy Animals:
Animals weighing 40 kg or more must be transported in durable wooden crates, which must be provided by the passenger.
5. Safety and Comfort:
For the animal’s comfort and safety, it's recommended to place bedding inside the container. The container should also be labeled with identification tags and the owner’s contact information.
