There is no change to current benefits and privileges offered to Nomad Club elite statuses: Silver, Gold and Diamond members.
What about elite status qualification requirement?
There is no change to current elite tier qualification requirement.
All the changes will be updated automatically, no actions required from your end. You may log-in to your member profile and manage your account online as usual.
You will have enhanced member profile, which will improve your digital customer experience. All Nomad Club functionalities will be available by one click: autofill of personal information during the booking, save your cards and travel companions, add Nomad Club virtual card and others.
The changes will take effect for travels on and from 17 May 2024 onwards.
For travels on Air Astana regular flights, members receive points and miles. Nomad Club accrues miles and points based on spending. Members shall receive fixed number points for each flown one-way segment depending on the fare cost shown on the ticket, for all flights from 17 May 2024 onwards. Accrual of points and for flights until 17 May 2024 shall be based on the ticketed point mileage.
What are the advantages of Spend Based Accrual vs Ticketed Point Mileage accrual?
Spend based accrual is easy for comprehension: you can easily come up with the amount of points which will be awarded for your certain flight. Designed to provide more transparency and therefore increased positive customer journey.
In old method, Nomad Points are calculated based on mileage between origin and destination. In new method, Nomad Points are calculated based on spent fare on a ticket, excluding taxes and additional surcharges.
Points shall only be awarded for the ticket fare, excluding taxes and additional surcharges.
Our members for domestic flights within Zone -1* and Zone -2 (West Kazakhstan cities)**, will receive fifteen (15) points for every 1,000 KZT spent. For flights between Zone-1 and Zone-2, members shall earn twenty (20) points per 1,000 KZT spent. International flights shall earn three (3) points per one USD spent.
There is a maximum cap of 3,000 points for domestic flights and 5,000 points and miles for international flights, meaning members cannot exceed these limits per flight. One flight can include stopovers and several segments.

SBA will apply for travel on pure Air Astana operated flights only.
Will the new SBA apply to partner airlines flights?
SBA will not apply to flights on partner airlines.

Members will earn Nomad Points for flights operated by Air Astana irrespective of ticket stock.
Nomad Club points can be earned only for Air Astana own flights ( operated by Air Astana).
SPA and interline fares are eligible for revenue-based accrual if the monetary fare is visible on the ticket. Points for tickets issued on IT fares will be earned on the basis of ticketed point mileage.
SBA will be calculated based on currency indicated on the ticket and that currency exchanged as per internal rate to Kazakh Tenge (KZT) on the day of flight for domestic flights and for international flights converted to US Dollars ( USD).
As per current terms and condition, member earns Nomad Points upon flown.
Nomad points are awarded to the passenger using the ticket, regardless of who paid for the ticket. Purchased but unused tickets do not accrue miles and points.
Member will not earn Nomad Points for ancillaries’ purchase.
Members may earn Nomad points and flight segments only on eligible tickets. Award tickets, free tickets, employee discount tickets, , charter tickets, infant tickets, group tickets booked in booking class G, or tickets issued subject to special provisions are ineligible for points and flight segments accrual. Booking classes not eligible for accrual include I, R, U, X, N, G, O.
Members traveling on upgrade awards or any other type of upgrade shall accrue points for the originally purchased economy class ticket.
Member must provide their NC membership number when booking a flight and present physical or digital card at time of check-in.
Member can view Nomad Point balance and earning at Personal Member account at airastana.com or from monthly e-statement sent to your email. For easy access, member can download Air Astana mobile app where you can login and access your account anytime anywhere.
You will still earn Nomad Points for travels before 17 May 2024 on distance based earning.
You will earn Nomad Points upon completing your flight journey in October 2024 as per spend base. Nomad Points will be credited according to the travel date, not booking date.
As per current terms and conditions, members will earn Nomad Points on the original flight ticket purchased and upon completing the flight journey as per the original ticket.
For your convenience redemption will be available on the main page of our new website. Which means you can easily access the functionality? And there three different amount of points limit required for your awards.
You can choose award tickets for lower amount of points based on your travel flexibility. You will have more convenience and freedom to plan your award travels.
We are planning to introduce Nomad Point redemption for ancillaries’ purchase at the current moment you can use your points against MySeat at the check-in desks.
